Rescuing Our Precious Children
Illinois | June 22, 2021
Dear Pastors and Church Leaders,
I’m sure that you would agree that our children are part of a massive mission field – a mission field that has been neglected. They demand our utmost attention and our highest priority. Too many children in our families, in our churches and in our communities are being discipled in ways that are contrary to what the Bible teaches. This cannot continue.
Our Lord and Savior gave us clear instructions in Matthew 28:19-20 to “make disciples of all the nations… teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.” While international missionary support is necessary, we simply cannot ignore the growing great need here at home with our own children. (Mark 8:36; Prov. 17:24)
It is bad enough that children are failing to meet proficiency standards in English Language Arts, Math and Science, but now the focus of school time is on social engineering, humanistic training, sexual immorality, revisionist history and other godless subject matters. Right here in Illinois, a shocking number of kids hear messages about choosing their gender or embracing an LGBTQ lifestyle … and our state lawmakers want to mandate “comprehensive sex ed” for kids as young as kindergarten….

All Three of the Nation’s Largest School District Heads Have Resigned
Illinois | May 7, 2021
Within a roughly two-month period, the heads of the three largest public school districts in the country have all resigned, as reported by Breitbart.
The most recent resignation comes from Chicago, where the CEO of Chicago Public Schools (CPS), Janice Jackson, announced her resignation on Monday. After serving for nearly three years in the position, Jackson declared that it was time to “pass the torch to new leadership.” Under Jackson’s command, CPS began clashing with Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D-Ill.) over the issue of whether or not schools should return to in-person learning, with Lightfoot attributing the constant stalemates and delays to the union’s “aspirations,” which she said are more “akin to a political party” than a union.
With her resignation, Jackson claimed that she “felt proud and humbled, and also a little tired.”..

Educator Says Left Has Turned Public Schools Into ‘Indoctrination Centers’
Illinois | April 13, 2021
If you want to keep your job as a politically conservative public school teacher, you learn to keep your mouth shut, a Chicago area teacher told The Daily Signal.
Morgan Foster has taught English in middle school and, later, high school in Cook County, Illinois, for about 10 years.
Now in her early 30s, Foster says she has had about all she can take of the progressive ideology being promoted in public education.
“I definitely want out,” Foster said in a recent phone interview, adding that it is “becoming even harder to stay apolitical, or to come across as being neutral.”…

Candidate for School Board Speaking out Against School District’s “Black Lives Matter” Curriculum
Illinois | April 9, 2021
A candidate for the school board in Evanston, Illinois, is speaking out against the school district’s “Black Lives Matter” curriculum, which she says is negative, divisive, and disempowering for black kids who are taught that they cannot overcome systemic racism in America.
Ndona Muboyayi is running for school board in District 65, located in a Chicago suburb that recently made headlines for becoming the first American city to offer slavery reparations for black residents.
It’s the same school district that made news this week for prioritizing “black and brown” students for in-person learning due to limited capacity as schools reopen after closing during the pandemic….
“Upon my return to Evanston, I learned quickly that the curriculum changed drastically. No longer were they teaching children basically about the history of the world — including the history of African Americans and people of the African diaspora — but they had added something that they called, ‘Black Lives Matter’ curriculum,” Muboyayi told Fox News….
“But it doesn’t speak about when African Americans have fought against white supremacy or fought against oppression,” she continued. “So it was very much speaking about the one side, a very negative side, and nothing really about the things black people have accomplished in this country.”…
